About Hannah

My love for math and science combined with my passion for communication has led me down a unique career trajectory. I'm studying mass communication at LSU's Manship School of Mass Communication, and I'll graduate in spring 2023 with a concentration in public relations and an area of interest in energy and public affairs.

In spring 2020, I interned at 225 Magazine as a contributing writer, where my responsibilities included pitching stories, interviewing sources, and producing stories for both web and print. I also consulted with ExxonMobil in fall 2020 through the Energy and Public Affairs Program. I collaborated with a peer, Manship professors and ExxonMobil’s public affairs team to produce a communication plan to effectively target millennials and Generation Zers in the Baton Rouge, Louisiana, area.

Now, I work as digital managing editor at LSU’s The Reveille, where I assist the editor-in-chief manage day-to-day operations. I also intern with public relations firm Harris, DeVille and Associates, and my daily responsibilities include monitoring and reporting on meetings and social media posts as relevant to client interests. At LSU, I'm currently serving as president of the LSU chapter of the Public Relations Student Society of America.

I live with my husband, Tim, and dogs, Chicot and Jack, in Baton Rouge. I enjoy visiting my extended family in Lafayette, and I love talking with my friends, meeting new people, hearing about their experiences and applying that information to become a better communicator.
